WELCOME

Hi,  I’m Sylvia Wright—writer, reluctant adult, and part-time Olympic-level bed enthusiast.  After leaving work in June 2025 burnt out and drained from work. I found myself doing something I’d tried before: writing properly. I always started and had ideas but never quite got to the finish line. What began as a children’s story took a turn somewhere along the way. It became satire. Then something closer to literary fiction. I’ taught myself as I went. I'm most definitely not a natural writer. I write how I speak and that's not easy to follow when reading.  The first drafts were weak. I had learn along the way, rewriting, and trying to get it right. Years ago, a tutor once told me he had enjoyed reading my story, even if the writing was sloppy. That stayed with me. So I kept going. And now, here it is: my first independently published novella. Thanks to everyone who helped me get this far.
