WELCOME

Hi. I’m Sylvia Wright—writer, reluctant adult, and part-time Olympic-level bed enthusiast. After leaving work in June 2025 burnt out and drained from caring for my terminally ill mam, I found myself doing something I’d tried—and failed—to do for years: writing properly. What began as a children’s story took a turn somewhere along the way. It became satire. Then something closer to literary fiction. I’ve taught myself as I went—learning, rewriting, and trying to get it right. Years ago, a tutor once told me my work had something in it, even if the writing was rough. That stayed with me. So I kept going. And now, here it is: my first independently published novella. Thanks to everyone who helped me get this far. — Sylvia Wright
